liberating the Prisoners in the Pews (5 star review)
Pastor Sunday Adelaja is not just a Pastor but a Liberator & Reformer. With this fresh, new & powerful book he puts a tool in every believers hand to enable us "discover our promised land", "take new territories for God" & "Impose the Kingdom of God on todays culture"
In this book he seeks to change the present mindset of the church being preoccupied with itself, its size, its image & needs and seeks to refocus it back to its original purpose. He says that "to complete the great commission we must impact nations & not just church members".
I was particularly challenged when he describes today's church members as God's workers in captivity."They are like prisoners & the church pastors are the wardens"
This book teaches us not on how to bring revival alone but revolution to cultures & transformation to our nations www.transformleaders.net

A PARADIGM SHIFT INDEED,AND MUCH NEGLECTED SUBJECT (5 star review)
For a while Ive been led by God to understand the mentality of pastors like Sunday and why theyve made such impact. Ive discovered that its the kingdom mentality that makes a difference. The author declares how Jesus spoke very little about the church and 90% on the kingdom. Its an eye opener to see how many churches only focus on "Building their church", when in fact ministries that God is empowering are focused on the The Kingdom in general. He states that CHURCH is our headquearters but that battles are not fought in headquartes, but on the field...the world is the field.LET ME ASSURE YOU:THIS IS NOT JUST ANOTHER BOOK ON EVANGELISM, BUT RATHER A POWERFUL BOOK FULL OF TEACHING ON WHAT THE KINGDOM OF GOD REALLY IS.This book will really broaden your concept and open your mind on how God intends to build his church. Other than Myles Munroe, Ive found very little on this subject. As a pastor, I recomend it to pastors and church leaders. A TRUE PARADIGM SHIFT!BUY IT, YOULL BE CHALLENGED.
Fresh, Practical and Revolutionary (5 star review)
Having heard a lot about the author, a black African, being the pastor of the largest church in Europe(100,000 members in Ukraine with a make up that is 99% white Europeans) with two million new converts, 600 church plants in over 35 nations all within 12 years of the church existence, I was really excited to find this book and I was not disappointed. Every page of the book is an unveiling of the secrets behind this revolutionary church. The keys to having an impactful life and building a nation-changing church are practically uncovered in this book. It is a gold mine of life-changing truth. I recommend it to every Christian and Christian leader who want to leave the ordinary for the extraordinary in their lives and ministries.

A Motivating Read (4 star review)
At first glance, this can seem an eccentric work--but it's not. Non-Christians will find insight into the mindset of church-goers who find a good fit an accomplishment in itself. Christians will find examples of how to get beyond the frustration of finding a practical way to act on their faith. Both will likely find themselves highlighting one-liners and passages to return to and ponder. A thought-provoking read.
Big things from humble beginnings (4 star review)
"To reach new heights in the kingdom, you must extend your hand to the depths and become a friend of the unwanted and unloved," according to Sunday Adelaja in this extraordinary book. He has demonstrated this is his own life, born in a Nigerian village, moving to Russia to study journalism, then planting a church in the Ukraine. Nobody in the Ukraine was willing to listen to him other than the unwanted and unloved, but through reaching out to society's outcasts his church has grown to exert a significant influence on Ukrainian national life.
As well as telling parts of the author's own story, the book describes a number of kingdom principles which, if followed, would enable the church in Western countries to overcome its current malaise. "The church fulfils its mandate when it changes society, not when it is confined to its sanctuary and Sunday school classrooms." "The church is to be the training ground for people who will impact the society around them." "There is absolutely no use in having a big church without changing culture, speaking to society and curing social ills."
Whereas other church leaders typically focus their thinking on how to attract the maximum number of people to a church, or how to explain the gospel most clearly, Adelaja gives a refreshingly different perspective by focusing on how to maximise the impact of the church on every aspect of the culture and society in its country. It is a well-thought-through and challenging but inspiring book, and I highly recommend it.

Inspired to find a promised land (4 star review)
I found Church Shift inspiring. I'm in the 95% who are not part of the 5-fold ministry. What great news it is to read that I can be more valuable in the kingdom of god that I ever guessed.
Product Description
Sunday Adelaja was born in Nigeria, Africa. As a teenager, he was recruited by Russian communists. Today he pastors one of the largest congregations in Eastern Europe, a congregation that had a direct influence on the regime change during the Orange Revolution.
ChurchShift, based on his true story and experiences, provides the principles he used in Ukraine to inspire readers to establish the kingdom of God in their lives, in their churches, and in their nation. "God's intention is to transform your life, your promised land, and your nation, and to use you to bring back the earth to Himself, just as He is doing with us in Ukraine"--Sunday Adelaja
